World news – AU – Stuff of Nightmares: Family Surrounded by Robber Crabs While Camping on Christmas Island

A group camping on Christmas Island had a rude shock when they were suddenly surrounded by a swarm of large crabs, on September 19.

The family and friends were cooking sausages when the smell enticed up to 50 robber crabs to invade the campsite.

Despite their size and large numbers, the crabs were not harmful, according to Instagram user winterishere2015, who posted the video with the hashtag #stuffofyournightmares.

“They are relatively peaceful. They can be moved away gently or sometimes picked up and moved. No pinching,” the uploader told Storyful.

With meticulous planning, expert stylists, and adventurous clients, some of the best celebrity hair moments of 2020 were born. Yes, award season was on pause for a bit, with virtual versions slowly starting back up again this fall, but trust us when we say that there have been some incredible hairstyles on and off the red carpet this year. Award season at the start of 2020 welcomed some of the most impressive and experimental looks yet. We were blown away by Zendaya’s ultralong braids at the Critics’ Choice Awards, as well as Florence Pugh’s swooped, looped, and twisted updo, which – along with all of the other intricate hairstyles she’s tried – marked her queen of the updo in our books. When it came to the Grammys, no one held back with their beauty and no detail was spared (right down to the nails). One of our favorite hairstyles from the night had to be Dua Lipa’s ’90s-inspired piecey tendrils hairstyle, a look we saw take off at the SAG Awards. And finally, at the virtual 2020 Emmy Awards, 36-year-old American-Nigerian actor Yvonne Orji showed off one of the most powerful and important celebrity hairstyles of the year: a raised fist symbol shaved into one side of her buzz cut (by Atlanta-based men’s grooming expert Mickey West-Potts) in honor of the Black Lives Matter movement. But that’s just the beginning of the best hairstyles of the year. Read on to see some of our favorite celebrity hair moments from the year (and decade, for that matter), ahead.

John Lennon’s killer apologised to the singer’s widow, Yoko Ono, calling the assassination an “extremely selfish act” for which he believes he “deserves” the death penalty. Mark David Chapman, 65, made the comments during a parole hearing last month which saw him denied parole for the 11th time since killing the former Beatles member in Manhattan in December 1980.
