The 19:00 at Wolverhampton on Monday is available as a free Race Pass, which means logged-in customers can view all our premium comments and ratings. The most valuable contest on Monday is the 19:00 at Wolverhampton, a class 2 fillies’ handicap over the extended seven furlongs that has a total prize fund of £25,200. Seven runners are set to go to post, with Timeform’s weight-adjusted narrowly ratings headed by Coco Jamboo (98) who is one of four three-year-olds in the line-up. Coco Jamboo progressed during her juvenile campaign and signed off for the season with victory in a valuable seven-furlong nursery at Newmarket. After going up 5 lb for that half-length success, she posted a better effort in defeat on her reappearance here a couple of weeks ago, finding only an unexposed and promising rival too strong. There was no shame in being unable to go with He’s A Monster, who is related to some smart sorts and was an expensive yearling, and she is able to run off the same mark here. That was an encouraging return to action from Coco Jamboo who is going the right way and could still have a bit more to offer. Speriamo (94) also signed off her juvenile campaign by winning a seven-furlong Newmarket nursery. That was a second victory for Speriamo – she had also won a six-furlong Kempton novice – and it was her best effort yet on her first attempt at seven furlongs. That looks like a solid piece of nursery form and she could still have a bit more to offer at this trip, so she is entitled to plenty of respect on her return to action, for all she is up 4 lb in the weights and doesn’t have the benefit of a 5 lb claimer in the saddle this time. Glorious Angel (96) does have the benefit of a rider able to take 5 lb off as she is ridden by ace apprentice Billy Loughnane. Glorious Angel has already had a productive year as she won her first three starts of 2023, showing her versatility by scoring at five, six and seven furlongs. She had her winning run ended against a couple of talented rivals in a conditions event at Southwell in January and then disappointed at Lingfield in handicap company, but she got back on track when a creditable fifth in a listed race at Deauville last time and is interesting dropping back in grade and with Loughnane in the saddle. Her trainer Grant Tuer hasn’t had a winner yet this month but he has had plenty go close and run to form, and the yard’s good health is highlighted by the Hot Trainer Flag. Charlie Johnston also has the Hot Trainer Flag and he is represented by Jilly Cooper (97), a dual course-and-distance winner. Jilly Cooper latest victory was achieved here in January and she has run well on three of her four subsequent starts, with the one below-par effort not difficult to overlook given it came just 24 hours after looking like an unlucky loser at Lingfield. She has a solid profile on the all-weather. George Boughey is represented by River Pride (93) and Mrs U S A (93). River Pride has run well in a couple of condtions events this year, but her two outings in handicaps, including a fourth-place finish at Chelmsford last time, haven’t quite been at that level. Mrs U S A ended her juvenile campaign on a couple of low notes, disappointing on her handicap debut at York and then again in a novice at Newcastle three months later, but she had managed to win a Sandown maiden earlier in the season. That victory was achieved over five furlongs, though, so this seven-furlong trip will ask a new question on her return to action. Also in the line-up is topweight Fiduciary (93) who was a creditable third off a 4 lb higher mark at Wolverhampton in November but has been below her best on her two subsequent outings. It may pay to focus on the 3-y-os here, notably Coco Jamboo, who was beaten only by a useful-looking colt over C&D on her return. Speriamo was suited by the step up to 7f when winning at Newmarket in October and is next best ahead of Glorious Angel, who wasn’t disgraced in listed company at Deauville recently.
