One Melbourne local government area has now surged to over 600 active coronavirus cases as more than a dozen record more than 100.
On Wednesday, the health department revealed all Melbourne areas had at least one active coronavirus case, with Wyndham and Brimbank still the highest recording 603 and 532 respectively.
While Hume remains high with 392, that number is the same as Tuesday, meaning the area has not increased in active cases.
The City of Melbourne has recorded another drop in active cases of 11, from 287 to 276, while Moonee Valley’s cases have dropped four from 218 to 214.
Greater Geelong, which is not currently under Stage 3 lockdown restrictions, has had a slight jump in active cases from 35 to 44 in the past day.
