Fulham vs Cardiff LIVE score and stream (1-2): Cardiff pressing as Fulham lead | 30/07/2020

Ralls’ free kick is too long for Vaulks, but Fulham won’t want to give too many more free kicks away.

Bacuna curls in a beauty of a ball and Ward, who has been pretty quiet tonight, gets in behind Ream. He so close to a tap in, but can’t reach the ball.

Both substitutes are involved as Nathaniel Mendez Laing produces a fine save from Marek Rodak. The rebound falls kindly for Lee Tomlin, though, who volleys home.

Fulham have also made a change – Neeskans Kebano, who we think picked up an injury of sorts, is swapped for Aboubakar Kamara.

Cardiff took the lead early through Curtis Nelson’s header, but Fulham responded just 24 seconds after the restart through Neeskens Kebano, who netted his second goal of the tie.

Cardiff need two goals in the second half if they’re to get anything from this fixture. A big team talk from Neil Harris coming up.

I’ve just seen his throw that earned Cardiff the corner that led to their goal earlier and it should’ve been another foul throw. His foot was over the line.

The players are crowding the goalkeeper and Pack heads away. Onomah then shoots, but the ball rebounds off Kebano for a goal kick.

The game hasn’t been a classic so far. We had a frantic couple of minutes which saw goals from both teams, but that’s pretty much all there is to report so far.

Hoilett is fouled again by Bryan and Cardiff earn another free kick in a good area. Ralls’ cross is headed towards goal, but it’s tame and Rodak gathers.

The Cardiff skipper has an ice pack on his neck. He got a bit of a clattering during that set piece – we’ll see if he’s OK to carry on soon.

Cardiff have scored the most goals from set pieces this season – Rodak punches this one, though, and Morrison is down with a head injury.

It’s Fulham on the ball, but Cardiff clear an attack after neat play down the left.

Bobby Reid picks up the ball in midfield and has all the time in the world to take it forward.

He plays in Kebano, who scored in the first leg, and the winger gets in front of Bacuna to poke it past Smithies.

He gets another go. This time it’s legal, and Rodak tips it over the bar after the bounce. I don’t think anyone touched it, but better to be safe than sorry.

The Bluebirds trail 2-0 from the first leg, so need to score at least twice if they are to give themselves a chance of making the play-off final on Tuesday.

“I said to the players that the play-off finals I’ve made, we’ve been losing and we’re at half-time and we’re losing the game.

“Fulham are celebrating like they’ve won the tie. We have to go to Craven Cottage and we have to be positive and that first goal is going to be key in that game.”

“Fulham are now huge favourites, but they have everything to lose and we have everything to gain.

“There was a 2-0 deficit in the League Two play-offs. That does not mean it will happen for us, but ultimately we need to be positive.”

“I didn’t see anything that was over the top. Certainly at the end of the game I just see a professional team that understood there’s only half this tie done to be honest with you.

“Regarding the goals and the celebrations, yeah of course I see players who were pleased, and rightly so, to score two goals away from home.

Long-term injury absentee Greg Cunningham has been back in full training, but this game may come too soon for a return to action.

The former midfielder will be reluctant to make changes following an impressive first leg, but, if Championship Golden Boot winner Aleksander Mitrovic is deemed fit enough to play after missing the first leg, Bobby Reid will more than likely drop to the bench.

An early goal here could change things, but the Bluebirds have it all to do. A play-off final spot is at stake.

They had to settle for the play-offs, though. They are, however, well placed in this tie.
