The Algerian international left side Youcef Atal is again hampered by an injury. Starting against Olympique de Marseille, the player had to leave his teammates on Sunday night on Matchday 3 of Ligue 1. Indeed, from the 6th minute of play, the Algerian international was injured. Youcef Atal is still not spared from repeated injuries. Just 5 minutes after starting against Olympique de Marseille on Sunday night, the OGC Nice full-back was injured after being on the ground for several seconds. The 25-year-old left-back was replaced by Jordan Lotomba, due to a muscle injury.
Bad news for the Algerian selection, a few days before the start of qualifying for the 2022 World Cup, when the Fennecs have to face Djibouti (September 2) and Burkina Faso (September 7). This second match against the Stallions of Faso was relocated to Marrakech (Morocco), due to the non-compliance of the Ouagadougou Stadium with the standards imposed by CAF.
