The breakdown of trade winds and the mass of humid air favor cloudy developments which can cause heavy downpours that are locally thundery.

The island is placed in yellow vigilance for heavy rains and thunderstorms by the Meteorological Center of Martinique this Saturday morning at 11:07 am.

Showers can be locally strong and stormy until late afternoon. They then fade but remain relevant for the next night.

This risk of heavy thunderstorms reappears tomorrow Sunday from the end of the morning. The accumulations could locally reach 50 to 70 mm in 3 hours, especially on the relief.
