Singer Woodkid protested this Tuesday against the use of his hit Iron in “a propaganda video” on Eric Zemmour produced by the support group Generation Zemmour. The artist intends to “clearly take legal action” and denounce the “totally illegal” use of this piece for political ends.

The use of excerpts from famous films – such as Joan of Arc by Luc Besson), Les Choses de la vie by Claude Sautet), Le Quai des brumes by Marcel Carnà ©) and A bout de souffle by Jean -Luc Godard – in the video Zemmour’s candidacy could also be the subject of litigation.

Solicited by BFMTV, the company Gaumont, of which several film images were used by Eric Zemmour in his application video, indicates that he has not given any authorization and reserves the right to initiate proceedings.
