The draw for the qualifying play-offs for the FIFA World Cup ™ was postponed to next year following a decision by the CAF at the extraordinary meeting on Friday.

The draw originally planned for December 18, 2021 will take place will now take place on January 26, 2022.

According to the decision, the ranking list from January 2022 will be used to set the teams for the draw.

The five best-placed teams at the time of the draw will be seeded and compete against the others five non seeded countries.

Algeria, Cameroon, Nigeria, Ghana, DR Congo, Senegal, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt and Mali have booked their places after the group stage of qualification.
