After the blind auditions come the battle rounds, the knockouts, the playoffs and finally the live performance shows where the audience can vote for their favorite actors .

So when do the live shows with voting start this season? Read on to find out.

Three week episodes are typically devoted to blind auditions on “The Voice”. That means the combat rounds will likely not begin until the second week of October. During the combat rounds, each coach, with the help of his combat advisors, must eliminate half of his team. Contestants sing a duet with another member of their team, trying to outshine each other.

This year’s combat advisors are Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Camila Cabello and Kristin Chenoweth. The fighting rounds usually last two weeks.

After the fighting rounds come the knockout rounds. Here the participants compete against members of their team again. It’s similar to the Battle Rounds, except this time the contestants pick their own songs and perform solo. The knockout rounds usually last two weeks.

After the knockout rounds follow the playoffs, the first live episodes of the season. In the knockouts, the top 24 participants will fight for a place in the top 12.

If the show follows its normal schedule this season, the live knockout rounds will begin on Monday, November 8th. This is also the first time the audience has the opportunity to vote for their favorite. As soon as the top 12 are determined, the rest of the season will consist of live shows with audience voting.

According to the ticket calendar of “The Voice”, dates for live shows will follow shortly. Those wishing to attend live shows must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

During the blind auditions, the four trainers listen to the participants with their chairs turned backwards. If they like what they hear, the coaches can hit their “I Want You” buzzer.

If more than one coach hits their buzzer, the candidate can choose which coach to work with. If neither trainer buzzes their buzzer, the participant will be eliminated. Each coach may use one block during the audition rounds. In this way you can prevent another coach from adding a certain candidate to your team.

We already know from the trailer for season 21 that there is at least one candidate who got all four coaches to join their Turning chairs over. The trailer shows Ariana Grande and John Legend competing against each other trying to convince a candidate to join their team.

There is sure to be a lot of good-natured competition between coaches this season, especially when Grande joins the team . Tune in to the first two episodes of “The Voice” on Monday, September 20th and Tuesday, September 21st at 8pm. Easter time.
