The 23-year-old fringe striker faces a 0.08 blood alcohol charge against Perth City Council.

The records show that the offense took place on September 14th in Lathlain – the same suburb as the headquarters and training ground of the Eagles.

“Jones immediately informed the club at the time of the crime and the matter is now being dealt with by the judiciary,” the statement reads.

“The club is bitterly disappointed of Jones’ actions and will review the incident after the hearing with the likelihood of a separate sanction.

“There is no excuse for getting behind the wheel of alcohol and Jones deeply regrets this grave misjudgment.
