The four main actors of the Schitt’s Creek series: Eugene Levy, Catherine O’Hara, Dan Levy and Annie Murphy

Welcome to Schitt’s Creek, which tells the story of a wealthy family who lost everything, won the trophy for Best Series, Comedy or Musical, at the Golden Ceremony Globes.

Earlier in the evening, Catherine O’Hara also won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Series, Comedy or Musical, for her role in Welcome to Schitt’s Creek.

The Golden Globes ceremony is going virtual this year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. So it was from her living room that Catherine O’Hara thanked Eugene and Dan Levy, the creators of the series, for “an inspiring and funny love and family story.”

It was actor Christian Slater who revealed that Catherine O’Hara won the Golden Globe for “Best actress in a series, musical or comedy”.

After scooping it all at the Emmy Awards last year, the Canadian series Welcome to Schitt’s Creek (Schitt’s Creek) is named to the Golden Globes in the category of the best series comedy or musical on television.

And as with the Emmys, the four lead performers in the series also earned mentions for their roles.

This Ontario-produced series went almost unnoticed in its first four seasons before becoming a hit on Netflix.
