Météo France has placed Gard and Lozère on orange “rain-flood” vigilance on Friday 29 October. “A Cevennes episode is expected between Friday evening and Sunday,” writes the forecaster. The light rains on Friday will intensify at the end of the day and “the maximum activity is expected between Friday evening and Saturday afternoon in the Cevennes”, specifies Météo France.

“The cumulative Cevenols expected until Saturday evening, are 140 to 180 mm generalized, occasionally 200 to 240 mm”, warns the agency. Until Sunday, the accumulations “will be of the order of 150 to 200 mm generalized, occasionally 250 to 300 mm”.
