Protesters overturned a statue of Canadian public education official Egerton Ryerson on Sunday in Toronto out of mounting anger over the deaths of more than 200 children at one of his schools.

The remains of the 215 children were turned into one earlier this year unmarked mass grave found in one of the so-called “residential schools” for local children he was instrumental in founding.

The statue, which is housed at Ryerson University, is not being restored or replaced, and the school is reportedly considering one Change of name.
