Giant flowers, a monumental scenography … the Invites de Villeurbanne have started to settle in the city to be ready for the kickoff. The 17th edition of the street and music festival will begin this Wednesday September 15 and end this Saturday September 18. Hey! yes because of the health crisis, the Invites could not take place in June.
The 100% free program is very rich with its 55 shows, 11 concerts and 85 performances.
Circus and performance, dance, theater, humor, digital arts, visual installations, music… there will be something for all tastes and for all ages.
The Big Wheel, for its part, has taken up residence in front of the Town Hall.

The 400 artists will be everywhere: rue Anatole France, avenue Henri Barbusse, rue Paul Verlaine, passage Rey, rue Léon Chomel and many other places … The public will be able to wander around to the music and shows. Some 70,000 festival-goers are expected.

The 400 artists come from everywhere: France, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Armenia, Brazil, Burkina-Faso and even Cameroon.

In order not to distort the play of lights of certain shows, public lighting will be cut in certain streets. Traffic and parking will be limited from September 15 to 21 in the city center.
