Lot firefighters are relentlessly continuing their active participation in the Covid-19 vaccination campaign. Since April 10 and until September 4, the departmental fire and rescue service (Sdis) of Lot takes possession, every weekend, of the four main vaccination centers of the department (Cahors, Figeac, Gourdon and Saint-Céré).

In this context, around twenty Sdis personnel took turns on Sunday 23 and Monday 24 May to operate the Cahors vaccination center. All of this system worked thanks to the availability of firefighters from the health and medical rescue group, staff from local fire and rescue centers, some of whom have been trained in vaccination (vaccination health auxiliaries). and administrative staff. Over these two days, more than 700 doses of vaccine were administered.

Since the start of the vaccination campaign, whether for the benefit of Sdis personnel, former firefighters, employees of “partner employer” companies or the general public, the milestone of 5,000 injections administered by firefighters Lotois was crossed on May 24th.
