About 19. 800 people in the Manoa, Waikiki, McCully, Kahala and Diamond Head areas have lost electricity, Hawaiian Electric reported tonight.

The utility said customers were dropping out at around Jan.. 40 o’clock lost power. m. The crews are on site and the customers are supplied with electricity again in waves. The power supply was restored at 8 p.m. for some residents of Manoa. m.

Hawaiian Electric reported another blackout in the West Maui area and one in Lanai around 3 p.m. about two hours earlier. m. although the power supply has since been restored.

There are also bag failures in the Olinda and Piiholo areas, as well as at Halau Place in Haiku. These failures can occur overnight as the crews repair the lines.

Next, since about 4:40 p.m.. m. Hawaiian Electric reported three areas on the island of Hawaii where customers were losing power: about 1. 250 from Honomu Town to Ookala Town; approx. 1. 750 in the Papaikou to Kalopa Mauka and Makai areas; and more than 2. 850 from the town of Waimaea via Puukapu Farmlos to the lower Kohala Ranch.
