During Euro 2020, Danish attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest during the match against Finland (0-1) on June 12. But fortunately, thanks to the rapid intervention of his partner Simon Kjaer and the Danish medical staff, the Inter Milan player was saved.
And this Thursday, on the occasion of the draw for the group stage of the Champions League in Istanbul, UEFA President Aleksandr Ceferin honored them with the President’s Prize to open the ceremony. A moving moment and a nice ovation from the audience for the Danish medical team.
