Two people were killed in a collision between a white limousine and a gas tanker near Lithgow on Wednesday afternoon.

Emergency services responded to reports of a crash at around 1:30 p.m. on the Great Western Highway in Mount Lambie.

Unfortunately, the two people in the white limousine, who have yet to be officially identified, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The male driver of the Elgas truck was injured in the accident, but was taken to hospital for examination “The Great Western Highway is closed in both directions and drivers are encouraged to avoid the area,” NSW police said.
