Twenty One Pilots has announced a virtual concert with Roblox, the hugely popular online gaming platform.
The show is set to premiere next Friday, September 17th at 7pm. ET. Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun will play a “dynamic” setlist of five songs, which means that the tracks will be selected by fans in real time.
Viewers will also have access to “meta-spanning pre-concert quests, including some of Roblox’s most popular experiences that also have custom portals that bring users to the pre-concert venue, “which we think makes sense for people who play Roblox.
” Twenty One Pilots is a band who has spent her entire career reaching out to as many people as possible, “says Mark Eshleman, the longtime creative director of the” Stressed Out “duo.
” From selling out the small room to moving to the big one From the venue next door to launching a virtual Roblox experience for millions of users, the goal has always been the same, ”continues Eshleman. “The Roblox team went out of their way every step of the way to honor the band’s fans, their lore and history to ensure that this experience matches what people can expect from a show.”
Twenty One Pilots released their new album Scaled and Icy in May with the singles “Shy Away” and “Saturday”. They will perform with “Saturday” this Sunday at the MTV Video Music Awards 2021.
