The Turkish women’s volleyball team defeated Argentina 3-0 in the 2020 preliminary round Pool B game in Tokyo and reached the quarter-finals for the first time at the Olympic Games on July 31st.

Turkey fell with service errors back 5-2 and seemed ineffective at the beginning of the game, but managed to win the first set with 25:23.

In the second set with 25:20 and in the third set with 25:18 the Turkey won the game 3-0 and reached the quarter-finals for the first time in the history of the Olympic Games.

Turkey will play the last game of Pool B against the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) on August 2nd.
