His family had almost lost hope. Marie-Josèphe Poingt, suffering from Parkinson’s disease, had been missing since Saturday, July 24. She had left the retirement home of the Congregation of the Sisters of Torfou and had not given any sign of life since.
Days and nights of battles followed, a wanted notice and a call for witnesses. Relatives and residents met every day at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. at a place called La Colonne to try to find the 81-year-old pensioner.
According to an elected official from the municipality of Torfou, Marie-Josèphe Poingt was found within the confines of the retirement home from which she had escaped. She was immediately transported by the emergency services to the hospital. “There are still a lot of uncertainties about his state of health,” said the elected official.
