The Franche-Comté Samu helicopter landed at Corbis Square in Belfort on Monday around 5.30 p.m. to take care of a 4-year-old boy in absolute emergency. Many onlookers attended the scene. Traffic was interrupted in the suburb of Montbéliard throughout the operation.

A helicopter in the heart of the city, in Belfort, the scene is extremely rare. It was the Samu de Franche-Comté which made the exceptional request, due to the seriousness of the condition of the injured person to be transported. Usually, the helicopter lands at L’Arsenal or at a stadium.

According to information from France Bleu Belfort Montbéliard, a 4-year-old boy in absolute emergency was taken care of in an apartment in the Faubourg de France. Nothing is known about the nature of his injuries or his pathology.

After having been medicalized for more than an hour, the boy is transported in an ambulance parked in front of the porch of his building, then installed delicately in the helicopter which flew to the CHU of Besançon.
