The police encourage anyone celebrating the AFL Grand Final tomorrow evening to do so responsibly and safely.

“As AFL Grand Final Day has traditionally been busy for the Tasmania Police, we challenge everyone to do so celebrating the game tomorrow, to do so responsibly, “said Inspector Brian Edmonds.

” While tomorrow’s grand finale will be a little different with a night game, the police will be out and about across the state as in previous years make sure everyone is partying safely.

“If you are going to have a drink, please remember to take care of your friends and never get behind the wheel of a vehicle while under the influence.”

The Police will patrol entertainment districts across the state and the community that anti-social, drunk and recalcitrant behavior will not be tolerated by the police.
