The friend of Lord Ashcroft’s son may face drug charges as well as manslaughter, said a police chief.

Jasmine Hartin, 32, is fighting for her release on bail from one of the most notorious prisons in the world after a policeman friend was shot dead while the two were watching the moon together from a waterfront pier.

Police said a small amount of drugs was found in their investigation and a negligent homicide charge is due.

Hartin is due told the detectives that she gave Superintendent Henry Jemmott, 42, a shoulder massage when she handed him his service pistol and it went off and accidentally shot him in the back of the head.
