ESPN is currently broadcasting a high school football game between the IMG Academy, arguably the number 1 high school team in the country, and Bishop Sycamore, Ohio.

The IMG Academy is great known. The Florida school has consistently produced dozens of high-ranking recruits. Bishop Sycamore, on the other hand, is not very well known – not at all.

Apparently, the Bishop Sycamore coach pretended to ESPN that the program had better players than them. ESPN essentially admitted this on the air.

“Bishop Sycamore told us they have a number of Division I candidates on their list. To be honest, we couldn’t verify a lot of it, “ESPN announced on the air.

” Bishop Sycamore told us that they have a number of Division I candidates on their list. To be honest, we couldn’t check a lot. ” – ESPN on the air detailing how Bishop Sycamore betrayed them.

Of course, ESPN is partly to blame. Google exists and there are a number of recruiting databases – including one owned by ESPN.

I know a lot about high school football in Ohio, a lot more. I have no idea who Bishop Sycamore is or why they are on national television. https://t.co/Bv6ecfxQC6

This is what happens when ESPN is tricked into broadcasting a high school football game between the most talented team in the country and an online charter school that no one has heard of, the last one Year 0-6 went and lied about his list to get on TV. pic.twitter.com/QUwM8BQKiY

The soccer world, especially those close to the Ohio high school scene, is pretty stunned.

In short, it’s not a school, the educational component is about something similar how ECOT operated; got a lot of guys who would have lost OHSAA eligibility; Children from all over the country; ESPN announcers just said that this trainer lied to them about having multiple D1 guys

I * think * part of the problem is that a third party (think it’s Paragon Marketing) is brokered for these games are acting and IMG needed an opponent in order for the game to be played at PBTS so the broker finds a buyer and if the coach a charlatan the D1 talent scam puts them on TV.

ESPN spends the rest of the game doing it to apologize for this game and to pray for the safety of the Bishop Sycamore players involved.

Dear Football, Bishop Sycamore is not an accurate representation of Ohio HS football. It is not an OHSAA member. There are far superior schools that could truly and truly represent us here in the great state of Ohio. Sorry, this game is on ESPN.

Crooked high school football games are not uncommon, even when they are on national television, but today’s competition is extremely diverse.
