An area as far south as northern New South Wales to the Caboolture area, north of Brisbane, was in the line of fire of the East Movement System on Tuesday morning.

“The model specification changed late yesterday and indicated few showers this afternoon, but we now have a series of storms approaching the southeast this morning.

“This morning storms and thunder rolls through (Southeast Queensland) as a thunderstorm line moves east” the Bureau of Meteorology tweeted.
