Tarzan actor Joe Lara was aboard a small business jet with seven people aboard, which crashed in Tennessee with rescuers missing hope Sunday to find survivors. “We are no longer looking for survivors at this stage,” rescue chief Joshua Sanders told a press conference. Sunday afternoon, “several components of the aircraft as well as human remains” were discovered.

The business jet took off from Smyrna Airport, Tennessee, on Saturday for Palm Beach, Fla. But the plane crashed shortly after taking off in Percy Priest Lake, about 20 miles south of Nashville.

Joe Lara was famous for playing Tarzan in the Tarzan: The Epic Adventures series, from 1996 to 1997. His wife Gwen Shamblin Lara, also on board, was at the head of a Christian weight loss group, the Weigh Down Ministries.
