Prime Minister Annastacia Palaszczuk paid tribute to Labor member for Stretton, Duncan Pegg, who announced his upcoming resignation for health reasons.

In a heartfelt speech, Duncan spoke about the love and support of his family , his community and his local heritage, including a number of improvements to local schools and safer roads.

“As Duncan put it, he is among the 30,000 Queenslanders diagnosed with cancer each year,” said the Prime Minister.

Mr. Pegg has been a member of Stretton and Chairman of the Tourism Development and Environment Committee since 2015.

The Prime Minister praised Duncan for his dedication to his community, his commitment to education and for making Queensland all the more for his service did better.
