Anderson, who was Alicia Metcalfe between 2010 and 2015 starred in the ITV soap, appears in the thriller Memory, directed by Martin Campbell of Casino Royale and adapted from the novel “De Zaak Alzheimer” by Belgian writer Jef Geeraerts.

The film in which Monica is also involved Starring Bellucci and Guy Pearce, filmed in Bulgaria, shows the Ballymena actor a skilled assassin with a reputation for discreet precision who is targeted and hunted down when he refuses to do a job for a dangerous criminal organization go after those who want him dead.

While the Criminal Syndicate and the FBI are on the hunt, Neeson’s character Alex Lewis has the skills to stay ahead of the curve , except for one thing – he is struggling with severe memory loss that affects his every move.

As details blur and enemies get closer, Alex has to question his every action and who he can ultimately trust.

Anderson said hello! Magazine had always dreamed of getting a film role, but she never expected to work with superstars like Neeson and Bellucci.

“When I was in my early twenties, the big screen was my goal,” she says. “I hadn’t completely put it to bed yet, although I never really thought that film would be the next step for me at this stage in my life.

“When I saw who was involved, I thought, ‘Crikey, this is a great movie,’ so of course I said yes.

” I was very lucky to be able to do so at such a difficult time work, and it was just amazing to be with this caliber of people – 2021 will be so much better than I could ever have imagined. ”

The new film is the latest thriller for 69-year-old Neeson , who also starred in the action film The Marksman and Netflix’s The Ice Road earlier this year.

Neeson has made a career in action thrillers following the success of the Taken franchise. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, he admitted that he had no idea that Taken was going to be a hit and that he would become an action hero at such a late stage in his career.

“I’m 69! I’ve just turned 69 and the conversations I have with my agent now are, “Liam, did you read this script? It’s an action script “and I say,” Chris, let me ask you this, you know how old I am, right? “Yes, they do”. “Okay, that’s all I want to know, thanks,” Neeson said.

“Other than that, I keep myself reasonably fit and you have to be for some of these films. When you star in a movie, you are in charge; you are in practically every scene, you have to be fit.

“At 35 you don’t have to look like Arnold Schwarzenegger, but you have to have stamina. So I do my little workouts every day and keep myself reasonably fit. ”Meanwhile, Anderson, who will turn 40 this year, has announced her marriage vows to husband James Shepherd, a health and fitness project manager and trainer , with whom she has a son named Freddie.

She said: “Although it will be our 14th year of marriage, the three of us will be celebrating 100 years together as a collective – I’ll be 40 in October and James next year 50 and Freddie 10.
