Spider-Man fans got an unexpected surprise Sunday, August 22, after the “Spider-Man: No Way Home” trailer leaked online. The video that purported to be a trailer for the film ended up on TikTok and has been viewed by thousands of people.

Although the original clip has been taken down, several of its copies have surfaced on the internet. Now Sony has fought tooth and nail to have all videos removed from the Internet, although it seems like a Herculean task.

According to a report from Vulture.com, in the video someone can be seen viewing the trailer on their phone and the clip also had a watermark for a VFX artist superimposed on it. MCU’s “Spider-Man: No Way Home” returns Tom Holland as Peter Parker, and villains from previous films such as Jamie Foxx’s Electro and Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus will also reprise their roles.
