Simple rumor for a few weeks, Snoop Dogg has just conifrmed that Dr. Dre was working on new music for the Grand Theft Auto series, reports Rolling Stone, and added that he was going to collaborate on some of the tracks.

“I know he’s in the studio,” Snoop Dogg said in an interview with Rolling Stone’s Music Now podcast. “I know he makes good music pu ** in. And part of his music is related to the GTA game that’s going to be released. So I think that’s the way his music will be released, by the through the GTA video game. ” Although Snoop said the new music is “related to the GTA game that is going to be released,” it is not clear whether the rapper is referring to content created for a new version of the game, or just new music added to the game. GTA V.

Contacted by Rolling Stone, Rockstar Games declined to comment on Snoop Dogg’s remarks. While fans of the Grand Theft Auto series expect a sixth game to be released at some point, nothing has been officially announced by Rockstar at this point. It’s possible that new music from Dr. Dre, who hasn’t released anything solo since Compton in 2015, will make an appearance in the upcoming Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition, which is slated for release on November 11. It is also possible that the music is intended for GTA V, which incorporates new music content quite regularly during updates.

Either way, as long as you can listen to new Dre, that’s good news.
