NSW Health Secretary Brad Hazzard announced on Thursday that small wedding ceremonies in NSW will be allowed again under the new COVID-19 safety rules.

Mr. Hazzard has signed an amendment to the Public Health Ordinance to small wedding services, but no subsequent gathering, in NSW starting Friday the 3rd.

According to the Order, a small wedding is a wedding of no more than five guests plus the wedding party – two people getting married, two groomsmen, one person who will conduct the service and someone to record the wedding.

Premises that may currently be open for a funeral can also be opened for a small wedding.
