Love lasts three years, wrote a famous French writer, but unfortunately sometimes it lasts less. Nothing is going well for Sean Penn and his wife Leila George. The TMZ website reveals that the actress recently filed for divorce, a year after marrying the famous actor.

Sean Penn is one of the most popular and talented actors of his generation. In his forty-year career, the latter has had the privilege of filming with some of the greatest directors on the planet such as Louis Malle, Brian De Palma, Terrence Malick or even Gus Van Sant, having even been awarded the Prix d ‘ male interpretation of the Cannes Film Festival in 1997 for his score in She’s So Lovely by Nick Cassavetes. An artistic success which unfortunately does not reflect his romantic successes. The actor is indeed a heartbreaker who has always had great difficulty in finding true love, despite numerous relationships. From 1985 to 1989, he was the husband of Madonna; a love affair marked by the actor’s escapades and his various arguments with the singer. It was in 1990 that he met Robin Wright with whom he had two children: Dylan in 1991 and Hopper in 1993.

Their relationship went through ups and downs until the famous actress filed for divorce for the first time in December 2007. She retracted a few months later, on April 8, 2008. One year later, on April 23, 2009 , it is the turn of the actor to ask for the divorce which will be finally returned during the summer of 2010. After a short relationship with Charlize Theron between 2013 and 2015, Sean Penn had ended up finding his new dear and tender in the person of Leila George, twenty-eight, the daughter of actress Greta Scacchi and actor Vincent D’Onofrio.

They even said “yes” discreetly in July 2020! A third marriage therefore, which will unfortunately end in a third divorce…! The TMZ site indeed reveals that the young woman has officially filed for divorce after five years of relationship and one year of marriage. Unhappy in love, happy in the cinema?
