Severe thunderstorms are expected to sweep through Occitania overnight from Wednesday to Thursday. The Aude department has been placed in orange rain-storm-flood vigilance. Significant amounts of rain are expected. Up to 200 mm in places. As a precaution, the Gard firefighters sent 11 whitewater rescue specialists, six vehicles and a boat. They will be positioned from this Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. in Olonzac in Hérault on the border with Aude.
These 11 firefighters come from the barracks of Marguerittes, Nîmes, Grau-du-Roi, Alès, Bagnols-sur-Cèze and Lédignan.
