A 4.0 earthquake shook the province of Antique The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) announced on Monday, November 22nd, around 8:49 p.m.

The epicenter of the earthquake was 14 kilometers (km) northeast of Tibiao, Antique, at a low rate Tracked 3 miles deep.

Phivolcs said it was felt as a “weak” tremor at Intensity III in Tibiao parish.

It describes the vibration of a weak tremor like there s A light truck passes by and is noticed by many people indoors, especially on upper floors or buildings.

Phivolcs’ instruments also detected the intensity III earthquake in Culasi, Antique; Intensity II in Valderrama, Antique; and Intensity I in San Jose de Buenavista, Antique.

The earthquake was said to be tectonic in origin, meaning it was caused by the movement of an active fault near the area.

Phivolcs, however determined that property damage or aftershocks were not to be expected as a result of this earthquake
