Why trust us
Publix rarely disappoints, so we’re not at all surprised that our favorite Southeast grocer is opening its doors on Memorial Day this year. You can collect last minute groceries, supplies and ready-to-eat goodies from Publix’s deli and bakery. While many other businesses are closing for the holidays to honor those who have made the greatest sacrifice to our country, almost all Publix locations are expected to operate during normal business hours in 2021.
Some local businesses in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, the Carolinas, and Virginia have introduced new shopping hours due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, most locations are open to shoppers for 12 hours while on vacation – open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Mondays.
There is a possibility that Publix pharmacies in grocery stores may be closed on Memorial Day, which may cause you to request special prescriptions in advance. But if you’re looking for a heaping bowl of potato salad or a pitcher of sweet tea to go with your grill menu, you’re in luck! And don’t forget – Publix subs are always available in case you burn the burgers (d’oh!).
