Two match days have already been played in the Premier League. This weekend, the last matches before the first international break will be played, including two very high level matches. In addition to the highlight of the Liverpool v Chelsea show, champions Manchester City and Arsenal also meet. Both clubs have had an unsatisfactory start to the season and are looking for much needed success on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

Manchester City sit ninth in the table with three points after two games. Last year’s champions started the season with two game-winning losses, but they were able to redeem themselves against Norwich. Arsenal, on the other hand, appear unable to shake off their long slump this season. After two eighth places in the last two seasons, the Gunners finally wanted to regain international places, but they got off to a bad start with two losses in the league. Arsenal are therefore second to last in the table with zero points.

With their first defeat of the season, the Manchester Citizens had to give up their first possible title. In the Community Shield final, which sees champions and cup winners clash, Manchester were beaten 1-0 by the Leicester City Foxes. The championship opener was also lost with the same result, with Tottenham Hotspurs securing all three points thanks to a goal from Heung-Min Son. The Citizens then vented the frustration of their two defeats in their first home game last weekend, facing the promoted Norwich at home, 5-0.

New signing Jack Grealish has scored alongside veterans Laporte, Sterling and Mahrez. The midfielder arrived from Aston Villa for a staggering € 117.5million, but he is the Citizens’s only notable signing so far. Harry Kane was another big fish that officials had in their sights to replace Sergio Aguero, but Spurs don’t seem to want to sell him under any circumstances. After Kane didn’t play at all against City after an extended vacation, he was cleared to play in the last league game and then engaged with Tottenham on Twitter, at least for the coming season. This means that a move to Manchester this summer is probably not an option.

London’s Arsenal have once again had a poor start to the season. They started the season with a supposedly easy task against the promoted Brentford, but the Bees managed to surprise the Gunners to win 2-0 at home. On the following day, Arsenal faced a major challenge in the London derby against Chelsea. At home at Emirates Stadium, the Gunners were also beaten 2-0 by the reigning Champions League winners. The cup game against West Brom, in the second division, during the week was useful. Arsenal showed a furious reaction to their poor start and dismantled the underdog 6-0, with a hat-trick from Aubameyang.

Despite their first competitive victory of the new season, Arsenal’s mood is only expected to improve when the club regain form in the league. Many newcomers, whom the Gunners have signed for a total of nearly € 150million, are expected to help this season. Along with Ben White, Martin Ödegaard, Aaron Ramsdale, Albert Lokonga and Nuno Tavares, Arsenal split that hefty sum among five players, all aged 23 or under. It remains to be seen if this young approach will allow the Gunners to return to success.

ManCity coach Pep Guardiola is once again the master of the targeted rotation this season. Therefore, it is difficult to predict the starting XI of the Citizens. The other alternatives to our starting list are Torres, Grealish, Fernandinho, Cancelo and Ake.

Arsenal coach Arteta has also made many changes so far. In defense, he will have to do without Ben White, positive for Coronavirus, and Tierney, injured, and therefore still uncertain. Offensively, the successful combination of the cup could start again. The other options are Chambers, Martinelli and Smith-Rowe.

City clearly come in as favorites and should easily get rid of Arsenal who do not appear to have settled their concerns. Man City have won their last eight league games against Arsenal, six of them without conceding a goal. The Citizens have won their last four straight games without conceding a goal, making them an almost formidable opponent for the Gunners in the Premier League.

As we believe in anyway a victory for the Citizens without conceding a goal, we want to be more precise about the result. We are betting that Man City will win against Arsenal with 1: 0, 2: 0 or 3: 0. The last four league matches between the two teams have all ended with one of these three results.

The Citizens will approach this match with confidence and should raise the tone from the start of the meeting. We are betting on City dominance in both halves of the game.
