KUALA LUMPUR: Following a warning from the Japanese Embassy here today about possible terrorist attacks on places of worship, the police said they had not identified any threats to national security as claimed.

Police Inspector General Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani assured them today that the security of the country is not threatened and the police have not received any such information to this day.

He urged the public not to worry or speculate about the allegations.

The Japanese embassy warned its 30,000 citizens in Malaysia today of possible suicide bombings on crowded places and places of worship.
