While we were trying to console ourselves for the cancellation of the third DLC of Pokémon Sword & Shield, good news has just fallen. It is by a laconic tweet of the famous leaker Nibel (Nibellion) that we learn that Pokémon Legends: Arceus will be released on January 28, 2022 on Nintendo Switch. For the moment, we simply know that the action will be located in the Sinnoh region, at a period well before the previous installments of the saga. Since the action will take place long before the current era, the map should be very different from the one we could cover in Pokémon Diamond, Pearl and Platinum. Note also that the game will be an open world in which the trainer can move freely.
Scenario level, the story will revolve around the creation of the world. A creation in which the powerful Arceus obviously plays a key role. In the days of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the concepts of trainer and Pokémon League (which are so familiar to us) did not yet exist which should bring some radical changes to this new opus. In the next license title, your task will be to complete the region’s very first Pokédex. To achieve this, you will always have the choice between three starters which will be: Brindibiou, Héricendre and Moustillon. While waiting for the long-awaited release, discover the things that we absolutely want to see in Pokémon Legends: Arceus!
Not content to give us the release date of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Nibellion splits a second equally laconic tweet to announce the release of the Pokémon Diamond and Pearl remakes. Thus, Pokémon Sparkling Diamond and Pokémon Sparkling Pearl will be released on November 19, 2021 on Nintendo Switch. Pokémon trainers around the world will therefore be able to enjoy two new games just a few months apart. Until then, get your Pokéballs ready and stock up on potions, you only have a few months to wait!
