Around noon this Tuesday, the police were informed of a possible robbery in progress in a jewelry store on the famous Place Vendôme in Paris. According to a police source, they then chase a car occupied by three individuals and two scooters. The vehicle was found abandoned in the 4th arrondissement.
In their escape, the alleged perpetrators are said to have driven on the sidewalk, hitting a policeman on an ATV, slightly injured in the collision. A police official also opened fire, injuring an individual in the leg on the side of Boulevard de Strasbourg (10th arrondissement). A second suspect was arrested in the parking lot of the Forum des Halles.
