It has the reputation of being the most beautiful magic festival in France. In 4 years, this event which takes place in Pamiers, a city of 15,000 inhabitants, has experienced a meteoric rise. The new edition, which takes place this weekend, is sold out.
Seats were sold out as soon as the festival ticket office opened. An additional date has been added, also stormed. A success that warms the heart of its founder, the internationally renowned illusionist Nicolas Del Pozo. A native of the country full of ambition for his festival and his city. “From the first edition, I said that I wanted Pamiers to be recognized as having the most beautiful magic festival in France. Five years later, that’s the case,” he says proudly. over the years, and that the festival owes to quality programming. For its fifth anniversary, it is aptly named. This year, The Stars of Magic welcomes the 20 best magicians in the world. “Artists recognized worldwide (Spanish, Chinese, Portuguese, French) in different specialties such as manipulation, great illusions …”, specifies Philippe Bonnemann, magician and master of ceremonies for the second consecutive year.
Among the stars invited, there is in particular Les French Twins, the most fashionable illusionist twins of the moment at the international level. They present breathtaking magic numbers with digital objects, tablets or smartphones. More poetic, Huang Zheng, one of the rare female magicians, specialist in manipulation, offers an invitation to travel and dream around Chinese culture. This is his second participation in the festival. “I remember the last time we had a great audience. It’s incredible, in a small town like this, to see that all the inhabitants come to see the shows. It’s with a lot of emotion. that I come back to perform here “, confides the young artist. Other stars on the bill: the Spaniard Mago Marin who excels in great illusions; Erwan Bodiou, French vice-champion of magic, who transforms glasses into doves or Pierre Marchand, the virtuoso of the thousand-award-winning diabolo.
