The four representatives of the French surfing delegation will be attending the eighth finals on Monday. Angloy Pauline Ado and Polynesian Jérémy Flores had to go through the repechage this Sunday.

Four out of four for surfing. The four athletes competing this Sunday qualified this Sunday for the round of 16 in the Tokyo Olympic Games. While Michel Bourez and Johanne Defay were already qualified thanks to their series of the first round in the morning, Jérémy Flores and the Basque Pauline Ado played extra time on the spot of Tsurigasaki, a series of the second round.

The native of Hendaye was particularly active at the start of the round. With 9.66 in total Pauline Ado finished second, enough to secure a place in the round of 16. Portugal’s Yolanda Hopkins (12.23) won the series. Monday, in 8th, the Angloy will have to improve its level against the Australian Sally Fitzgibbons. The eighths like the quarters, the semi-finals and the final will see the surfers face off against one another.
