The RomaPress reported that there was “hope” that a deal would be resolved this weekend, instead the two clubs remain in talks, which means the negotiations for the midfielder lasted almost a month.

It is added that the Roma have turned down their second improved offer from the North London team, which is the third overall offer from the Italian capital for the Swiss Star represents.

Arsenal may want to ease their demands at this point, as RomaPress stresses that the Giallorossi have no plans to increase their offer.

RomaPress reiterated the results of Football.London a few days ago, in which a deal was already signed with the 28-year-old, with the UK outlet adding that the move could cost between 18 and 20 million euros.

Although Xhaka has played a key role for Arsenal since arriving at £ 35million before the last Euro, it appears that Mikel Arteta and the Gunners are looking to reshape their midfield.

If their only offer is a win of 16 Million pounds then we’re glad we turned down the offer, it’s definitely worth more.
