It’s back to school for LCI. This Monday, August 30, the news channel unveils its new grid as well as a completely redesigned platform. “This is a new birth for LCI”, explains Thierry Thuillier, director of information for the TF1 group. “We thought and reflected on the set with the teams so that it served the new ambition of the chain”. On the menu this season: more information and facts, less debate and controversy. “What remains is credibility,” adds Fabien Namias, deputy director of LCI, who explains that politics will be “the hotspot” of the coming season, presidential election requires.

It is therefore a new duo that will wake up viewers from Monday to Friday, from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. since La Matinale will be presented by Hélène Mannarino and Stefan Etcheverry, who arrives on LCI after having co-presented La Matinale on weekends on BFM since 2018. At 8:30 am, Elizabeth Martichoux will continue her political interview. From 9 am to 12 noon, Marie-Aline Méliyi and Thomas Misrachi, who joined the ranks of LCI after having worked on BFMTV since its creation in 2005, will take over for 3 hours of information.

At noon, Julien Arnaud and Claire Fournier will inform viewers until 3 pm before giving way to Bénédicte Le Chatelier who will be in charge of “Club Le Chatelier” for the third consecutive season. “Anti-conspiracy, the show” will also return every Friday from 5 pm with Thomas Huchon. The specialist in fake news and conspiracy theories, who will analyze how these movements proliferate on the web a few months before the presidential election.

From 6 pm to 8 pm, place at “24H Pujadas”, with David Pujadas who returns for a fourth season of debates and analyzes around the major topics of the moment. For this unmissable event in the audiovisual landscape, the journalist will be surrounded by great names such as Jean-Michel Aphatie, Abnousse Shalmani, François Lenglet or even Pascal Perri.

At 8 p.m., Ruth Elkrief, who is back on LCI, will offer to follow all political news from Monday to Thursday for two hours. In this presidential year, she will be accompanied by Paul Larrouturou, a former “Quotidien” journalist, who will tell behind the scenes of the news and keep a campaign newspaper. And finally, Eric Brunet and Julie Hammett will lead a new program from 10 p.m. to midnight in which they will submit the major current affairs of the day to debate.

Jean-Pierre Pernaut’s Saturday show “Jean-Pierre et vous” will now air weekdays, every Friday at 1:30 pm for a new season. She will be interested in subjects of everyday French life in matters of money.

At the weekend, Christophe Beaugrand will join Anne-Chloé Bottet to present the Matinale from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. On the menu: info, complicity, proximity and good humor. They will be followed by Damien Givelet (from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.) and Adrien Borne (from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.) then by Magali Lunel who will offer to take a step back and take stock of the news of the day. From 6 pm to 8 pm, Amélie Carrouër will once again present the program “In full franchise”.

As for Darius Rochebin, he will now officiate Friday through Sunday (8 p.m. to 9 p.m., then 10 p.m. to midnight), alongside Anne Seften. Each evening will be marked by a big interview with a prominent personality, with a particular emphasis on politics on Sunday evening.
