NASCAR will return to Southern California with an exhibition race at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum early next year.

The NASCAR Clash will move from Daytona Beach, Florida to the Coliseum on February 6, 2022. Officials will be building a temporary quarter-mile tarmac short course at the USC Trojans football team’s home.

It will be the first time since 1979 that the Clash has not been held in Daytona. The race date is one week before the NFL Super Bowl and two weeks before the Daytona 500 season opens (February 20).
