Prime Minister Jean Castex is making the trip this Friday February 26 to Nantes in order to sign the protocol of the Ecological Recovery and Transition Contract (CRTE) with Nantes Métropole.
He will be accompanied by Jacqueline Gourault, Minister of Territorial Cohesion and Relations with Local Authorities, and Sarah El Hairy, Secretary of State to the Minister of National Education, Youth and Sports, in charge of of Youth and Commitment. “In accordance with the commitments made in favor of a territorialized recovery, the Government wished to ensure the consistency of the contractualization procedures between the State and the sub-regional communities by allowing the conclusion of these CRTEs, at the same time regional stimulus agreements “, specifies the prefecture of Loire-Atlantique.
This signing will be preceded at 8.45 am by a visit to the Rezé wastewater treatment plant, south of Nantes. “This equipment, which currently uses the biogas from sludge using a gas turbine, will soon transform it into biomethane reinjected into the town gas network,” specifies the prefecture, which adds that the station’s future developments will benefit from funds from the stimulus agreement “.
The Prime Minister will then go to Nantes town hall where he is expected at 10 a.m. for a speech, followed by the signing of the protocol.
At 10:40 am, Jean Castex will meet with the mayor of Nantes, Johanna Rolland, also president of Nantes Métropole and France Urbaine.
