The NBA announced on Thursday the postponement of Memphis’s next three regular season games due to the coronavirus.

The Grizzlies do not have enough players available so a minimum of eight per team is required to play. There are now 20 games postponed during the first month of the regular season. They are expected to be replayed in the second half of the season between March 11 and May 16. This 67-day period already provides for the holding of the last 36 regular season games.

Memphis will not play against Portland this Friday and Sunday, as well as against Sacramento on Monday, according to the health protocol put in place by the league.

According to NBA health protocol anyone who tests positive or who is identified as having been in close contact with someone who has been infected, must be quarantined and then tested negative.
