A huge geomagnetic storm made contact with Earth today (Monday) and could disrupt phone signals and satellites.

The Met Office said, “A coronal mass ejection is expected to arrive on Earth , with light to moderate geomagnetic storms likely, resulting in increased aurora activity.

“Small storms can last until October 12th, before fast winds from a coronal hole and possibly the fairly active period of geomagnetic activity continues. “

” These storms are great to watch, but they cannot harm our human bodies as long as we stay on the surface of the earth, where we are protected from the Earth’s atmosphere. “

They can interfere with telephones and satellites, because the earth’s magnetic field is disturbed.
