Four more injured on the A386

A white Peugeot, a silver Renault and a truck were involved in the incident on Friday morning on the A386 in Landcross near Bideford.

The driver of the Peugeot, a 52-year-old local, was forced out of his by the fire department Car to be rescued. Although CPR was administered, he was pronounced dead on the scene. Paramedics treated four other injured.

Two firefighters from Bideford, one from Torrington and the heavy ambulance from Middlemoor, Exeter, made their way to the incident shortly before 11am. although the heavy rescue vehicle was parked prior to arrival.

The police are looking for witnesses who may have seen the collision or the vehicles before the collision or who have recordings with a dash camera.
