Time for the Planet will have to rename itself. An Orleans company, Time to Planet, had asked that the Lyon company no longer use the name Time for the Planet and denounced the impact of the proximity of the names on its activity. The Lyon commercial court won his case. Time for the Planet will have to change its name, in particular on social networks, and pay a fine of 1000 euros per day of delay at the expiration of a period of 30 days after the order.
The court considered that the differentiation between the activities of the two companies was not sufficient to be perceptible by the public and justifies the change of name. Time for the Planet is a non-profit company created in Lyon in 2019 which wishes to raise 1 billion euros to finance the creation of 100 companies in the field of ecological transition. For its part, Time to Planet is an innovation consulting company that supports companies in their economic, societal and ecological transitions.
Time for the planet, Time to planet … but the main clock is always that of the money! 😀
